If you want to add this to the site, go to the admin panel and follow these directions:

(Advanced Mode)
Admin Panel -> Modules -> Chatbox -> Configuration -> Activate (Yes)

Then choose where to put it, a good place is the 3rd choice. It looks goofy at the top on most sites.
Hope this is a good suggestion!
